Welcome to the Laboratory of Protein Chemistry (LPC), a group led by Professor Yongzhang Luo in the Department of Biological Sciences & Biotechnology at Tsinghua University. LPC was established in year 2002.
Our research interests lie in the areas including the signal transduction pathways of angiogenesis, the mechanism of molecular chaperones and protein folding, as well as the mechanism of protein misfolding and protein misfolding-related diseases. We have invented several large scale protein purification and refolding platform technologies.
The current projects of LPC are supported by several grants including the NSFC-funded key project on the mechanism of protein misfolding and fibrillogenesis, the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund on the mechanism of protein refolding in vivo, the NSFC-funded project on the structural basis for the biological activities of Endostatin. Our recent publications include Biochemistry, JBC, and Blood, etc.
We welcome collaborations and scientific communications with those laboratories which share the same research interests.
